Yeah... my problem with spreadsheets is the exact opposite problem I have with everything else: when I start using one, I have to train it until it can sit, beg, roll over, and play dead on command.
What I mean is, it's not enough for me to have little boxes to hold data. I have to find ways to manipulate, sort, and process that data. For example, if "height" is one of my fields, I'll inevitably put in a function to calculate my characters' average height to ensure it's in line with what I feel the average height should be. Which means I can't just use ft'in"; I have to use inches (or in this case, centimeters - which means that my American brain requires me to write *another* function that converts centimeters to ft'in" so I can relate to it).
And then there's all the fun things you can do with text manipulation.
I'm sure you know the feeling, Brandiwynš¶, but right now everyone else is shaking their heads going, "what the hell."
