October Novel Prep Challenge

I heard some great advise once about writing: time is going to pass anyway. It might take you 10 years to get good enough to sell anything, but you know what? Those 10 years are going to pass anyway! So, if you spend those 10 years not writing, you'll look at the next 10 years sighing and saying, why didn't I spend the last 10 writing?
