Hello, folks; Bob (TophatBanjo) here. I've recreated my blog for the daily 1000-word science fiction shorts, sketches, and starts, have a look right here

. Each piece of writing is freestanding and bears no particular relationship to what comes before or after.

The point is to exercise the skills and come up with unusual idea which may--or most likely, may not--eventually be fleshed out by me or others into an actual, you know, story.

I did 1000 words a day like this over the course of School Year 2012-2013 with my high school students and 81 of my daily pieces were assembled into a book that is now available on Amazon and makes a great Christmas or birthday gift to someone interested in the genre--contact me directly for details.
