On the "Authors" page linked from the left column, you can put their username or any portion of their handle in the "Search" box that's just above the authors -- where the sorting and paging is located. (This "bar" is actually both above and below the listing of authors.)
Alternatively, if you do know their username, sometimes the fastest way is to just set the URL to http://Writing.Com/authors/USERNAME ... where USERNAME is replaced with their username.
