More of that functionality is already available on another portfolio tab, with extra features.

Go to the person's portfolio tab (or your own).
Click in the search box at the upper left to open the search box options.
Click on This Portfolio if it isn't your own port.
Pick an item type if you want, such as Statics. [Genre options are also available, as is search text.]
Click the to initiate the search.

The list of results (up to 25) is sorted by Last Modified First.
