I'm fine with it so long as you complete every assignment and spend at least 15 minutes on each. In fact, I encourage re-Prepping a stalled novel because it might be just the motivation you need to actually finish it this time.

To the best of your ability, stick to the intent of the assignment, but it's okay to be a little flexible. For example, if you already know your protagonist really well, it's okay to profile a minor character instead, so long as it's a significant minor character. But if it's a character profile assignment, then profile a character. If you ever need a second opinion on how to handle a particular assignment, just ask.
