I'm the same way! Once I start going out of order I get disjointed and lose momentum or crash altogether, so I just keep chugging. Also, I've been researching to develop some minor characters that turned out to be more major than I predicted. My word count is sloowwwww compared to usual. I'm mostly staying ahead of the target but at this rate I'll be ending the month at something like 50,001.
