I actually love to listen to people tell me about their beliefs, as long as they know what they are talking about, truly and are passionate about it. The bible thumping, fruit basket, bigots are the ones I will walk away from. And I used to work with many of them, hard to get away from them at work, but I could. My dad was not religious at all, but my mom was, slightly. She grew up forced into her religion and hated it and vowed she wouldn't do that to her kids and she never did. While she wanted me and my sister to be religious, she also let us explore religions and choose our own path to follow. No, she didn't want me to be atheist, I HAD to choose a religion, but at least she didn't force me into one or another. I ended up being baptized Methodist, but later in life regretted my choice. Someday I may explain it, but not now. I have 6 kids and none of them have ever been baptized, nor do they wish to be anytime soon.
