Posting a response on forgiving someone

Have you ever forgiven someone who negatively affected or maybe even caused some of your mental health issues? How did you do it? Is
there anyone you still haven't forgiven? Do you think you should forgive them, and if so, what would it take for them to earn your forgiveness?

These are wonderful questions that stir my mind. Yes, I have forgiven several people in my life who, in my opinion, caused some of my mental health issues. Several were in my family and one was a friend. It took me a long time to forgive these people--several years--but I did it with the help and guidance from God. It was only when I release these negative feelings to God, when i finally had peace in my heart.

I can honestly say that there is no one that I have not forgiven. Mentally, I can no longer hold grudges or "not" forgive. It hurts my soul and body too much. When I find that I have an "issue" with a person, I forgive them and then let them go. Life is just to short to hold on to negativity.
