Re: Editing date of book item entries

This was more or less suggested before, and SM's response is here: "Re: Re: Entry creation date..."  Open in new Window. by The StoryMaster Author Icon.

Since only one date is shown, changing the wording to say edited would make it incorrect for any entry that hadn't been edited.

For those for whom knowing the difference matters, the Blog subtype/10 or 20 entry blog format listings vs individual entries were set up to show both dates on the different views.

Thus you can temporarily switch your Prep book over to the blog settings to get the creation dates, and then add them to the entries so the information is available in the set up you prefer. Then, going forward, manually include the creation date in the body of the entry when you create it. The hide tags can be used if you don't want the information available to others.

You could also use a custom-formatted In&Out for entries to get the creation date information, which may be easier if your entries are large. This option was created for those who don't own the Book item but who need to be able to access the entry create/modify information, such as for judging contests that allow entries.

Hope that helps.
