Hated outlines. I just put pen to paper and write. I make lists but not outlines. My mind doesn't organize itself that way. I'm better off writing then sorting. Snowflake method is better perhaps than high-school-class essays (hated them). Many of the character descriptions I just ignored and did it my way. Those who write in romance/westerns/mysteries/sci-fi-fantasy pulp-fiction genres may be obsessed with visual details but I prefer my vampires (in other stories, not this one, but this one too) to be 'invisible" but recognizable by the other senses and personality. I want the reader to be invested in them. They can provide their own visuals (I find providing certain visuals limiting and sometimes racist/sexist/misogynist/ageist/etc.).
