Under Construction - MHWA Retreat

Char, my reservations about sending something has a lot to do with the fact that my daughter turns everything into an attack, no matter what I do. It is almost as if she tries to find a reason to resent me, even if it is a made-up reason. She has been like this to some degree since her early teens, but the drug addiction intensified this characteristic in her. She was never the same after coming off of meth. It is almost as if it changed her brain chemistry altogether. She's got me or them mentality and it is all about survival for her, even if it means stealing from her family. Even though she is clean, she's continued to burn bridges with everyone who once respected her. As a mother, it saddens me, but I have no control over what another human does, so removing myself until a later time seemed to be the best option for my own sanity.
