There is certainly some accuracy in some of the depictions of mental illness; perhaps, a bit much but there are times with any mental illness where it certainly feels like the pictures presented. I do think that some people who are mentally ill are more prone to creativity because their imaginations and perceptions of reality are more heightened than others. The pros of my mental illness--which is depression and anxiety--are being sensitive to others and their problems, writing articles that help those who are hurting and thinking of better ways to communicate with all people.

Reading and thinking about the artist's depiction of mental illness makes me want to try a bit harder on understanding and dealing better with my mental illness.
