Were you raised in your current religion? I am not quite sure if I was raised in my current religion... I do not know because my parents were divorced when I was a baby and while I was a child I lived with my grandmother (Which is a whole nother story.) and I only went to church sometimes with one of my Aunties and their family until I turned 11 years old. And at that time I did not know my religion yet. Then my dad came back from Oregon (That's another story in its self) decided to remarry and at the age of 11, I started going to church with my dad and his new wife and daughter. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ If not, when did you join your religion? When I was 11 years old that is when I started going to a Christian Church and sometimes a Methodist Church. But when I turned 14 years old when I met my mother for the first time (That's another story.) I was told I was Baptised Catholic when I was a baby. At that age, I was confused on what religion I should be after finding that out. But I stuck with Christian and Methodist because that was what I was going home to after visiting my mother twice that year. Even though I did that I have been to a Catholic Church because I have a friend from my high school years that was Catholic and I went to church with her a few times in those days. I do still consider myself a Christian now though. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ If you were raised religious and stopped being religious, when did that happen and what was that like for you? I did not exactly stop being religious... I just no longer go to Church for personal reason I would like to go to bible study but I am unsure if I can with those personal reasons. But I do pray during meals, before I go to sleep and when I have prayer requests or I feel a friend/a new friend needs prayers I pray. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ How have you been helped or hurt by religion? I think I was helped a little when my friend that's Catholic let me go to her Catholic Church a few times with her even though I do not remember much about it right now. I do not know if I have ever been hurt by religion though. |
