Yes, it is very rewarding, and I know I'm doing good work, but I'm only 4 months into this position, so no where near through the first two years yet. But with government, you need to start thinking about funding well in advance, so I need to prove my worth soonish so annual budgets can be allotted prior to the end of 2019 for the 2020 budget in order for my job to have any hopes of continuing. So not only do I have a lot to live up to, I need to do it quickly. :|
