Just peaked into the challenge forum and it looks like you're doing well with the tagging. Everything here basically has a number, so posting a static item is similar to posting a blog entry.

Each blog entry has an entry number in the upper right corner that can be tagged with:
{entry:######}

Similarly, every review can be tagged with:
{review:######}
When I'm doing an "Invalid Item"  review that requires tagging to the group, I just use the shorthand alias "mhwa":
So I might say, "This is a {item:mhwa} review."
and it will show as:
"This is a "Invalid Item"  review."

As far as blog comments go, you make those by clicking "comment" at the bottom of someone's blog entry. Then to show that you commented on it, you can just link directly to their blog entry using:
{entry:######}
