You were able to eloquently phrase something that I got too distracted and tongue-tied to express, but I just wanted to praise you for that.
Blaming society can be accurate, but it's not helpful, like you said. Movies like Joker seem to paint "society" as the villain, without actually addressing the underlying issues in society that make all these dystopian elements possible.
