Like, you're not really going to actually CARE for someone by taking care of yourself. I mean, you will but not like care-care you know. It's more on an unconscious level of caring for each other. Giving to the world a better version of yourself is a logical way of living and many of us tend to be a better version of ourselves, there's no discussion about it. And by living this logical thing we unconsciously care for the others and they do the same by being a better person as well. It's not about strictly caring, like, I'm sick and hard to deal with- come and take care of me and once I get well I'll care for you when you get sick. By being a better version of yourself you unconsciously care for the others because then they don't have to go down, dealing with the worst version of you. This is the kind of care dude mentions in the last quote I think.
