Motherwell 1952 the stadium for motorbike racing began my love for this sport. I would hang around outside the stadium in the hope that I would see the riders and for someone to pay for me to see the show. My auntie Bella's girls came by and paid for me other times I climbed over the fence to see my favourite riders. My favourite was Bobby Magregor . The colours were black and white and I knitted a scarf for these Friday evenings. My love for the sport is still strong and speedway has come a long way since 1952, the bikes are more powerful and I still get the thrill watching the sport on the TV, only I don't have a favourite star rider they are all powerful riders and I can't compare their skills.
