When my dad had cancer, my sisters and I went with him and my mom to the doctor appointments. We were a group. We laughed, told jokes and shared whatever was in the magazines that was humorous. We smiled and sometimes talked to the other patients. We don't think cancer kills your personality. It may affect how you feel but you should be the same person you were before you had cancer. Anyway, my dad was healed of esophageal cancer. He live 4 more years and died of lymphoma type cancer. I was at the doctor's office on one of his last visits, There was a sign in the waiting room. I don't remember the exact words but it was something like Please respect others and keep conversation to a minimum Really? They just want people to stew in their grief over a possible terminal disease? Come on Laugh! Think of Patch Adams!
