Mental Health Writers Alliance Monthly Challenge |
Interesting perspective! I've heard similar from people I know that tend to stay home 95% of the time anyway. They're like, "Oh we're social distancing? Didn't notice!" I've gotta say though, being inundated with the 24/7 bad news is the part that's probably bad for most people's mental health. The social distancing aspect is hard (from someone who has been leaving the house at least 6 days a week), but with the internet, streaming services, video games, books, etc. it's not like there's any lack of things to do. But what gets me bummed is the endless, "Did you hear X?!" "Omg, have you seen Y???" And it's never anything good, so it just gets overwhelming I think. I thought I didn't go out much (other than to work), but as soon as I was told not to go out for anything that wasn't essential I got the itch to go out. My brain is like, don't tell me what to do! Anyway, I'm happy to hear that you're well taken care of Jellyfish Hello 2025 🙂 and that your loved ones are doing well too.
