Thank you. I have trouble telling people no, especially when they have things that are only open occasionally. Also, I'd promised the folks who did every single month of "The Contest Challenge" since it started that I'd highlight all of their contests this year, but I had no idea how many contests that meant. lol You'll notice throughout the year that the contests will be owned by pretty much the same people over and over. This is one of the months with more variety. I think next year, if I offer this as a prize for doing every month of my challenge since February 2017, I'll limit the number of contests one can have included. If you run 6 contests, no, you can't have all 6 on here. I'm expecting more people in next January's celebration. There's no way I can fit all the contests. I barely had room as it was...but I'd also already had some scheduled prior to making that decision. The good thing is the previously scheduled contests offered more variety since they were owned by different people. The bad thing is that I ended up having to overload a few months just to fit everything in. Or maybe I won't even have it as a prize next year. It's not like I've ever turned down a contest that asked to be included. I'm usually booked 4-6 months out as it is. But for this year, there's just no more room for more without overloading months. Previously, when I saw a new contest, to give them a boost, I'd ask if they wanted me to highlight them. I won't be doing that this year. I'm glad I'm having this talk with myself (whether you are interested or not lol). Maybe I won't offer highlighting a contest as a prize next January. I don't turn people down, but forcing all the contests in means I can't easily (or at all, depending on the situation) add things that come up. I don't like that limitation. I also hate hosting so many contests because that means it's more likely that something won't get entered much, if at all. I have had several months over the years where a contest didn't get a single entry. I felt horrible and usually recycled it a few months later (not an option this year due to everything being full already), but it didn't tend to help. At least now I (FINALLY) realized I should just advertise those contests starting around mid-month. Last time when I posted about certain contests not getting much attention, they got some entries within a day or two of each post. I can't believe it took me literally YEARS to figure out that I could/should just announce that some contests aren't getting any/many entries. Sometimes it makes folks consider that one instead. Geez, I can be slow! Okay, so back to YOU! I'm glad you are enjoying this months selection. Wait...I just realized the contest hasn't actually opened yet. Whatever. I'm giving you credit and just trusting that you will actually enter when it does. Good luck! It seems like an interesting contest. Have fun! (Sorry for using your post to work some things out about next year's prizes. It's often easier to come up with a plan when talking about it, even when the conversation is sort of one-sided at the moment. lol)
