The Contest Challenge

Recipes with every story?!? I LOVE IT!! Though maybe also remind folks to convert to their measurements or to google food replacements if you list something they can't get. I know that seems like a basic duh factor, but you know, some of us are slow. lol I've talked to other folks about recipes here and they said measurements, availability of foods, and availability of food cooking methods were all big problems. They even cited things like posting a recipe that needs to be baked and some folks saying they don't have ovens. Whatever. I still think it's an AWESOME IDEA!!! I LOVE IT!!! DO IT!!! Be sure the description says there's also a recipe!

Will the recipe somehow relate to the story? Like you write a story about a boy and his pet chicken and you have a chicken recipe? A story about a monkey would have a banana recipe? A story about a car would have a CARbonated drink recipe?

If you end up doing a lot of these, I'd suggest a folder specifically for them. OR--You could even run a temporary or sporadic contest with stories and accompanying recipes. Even more fun if the prompt has nothing to do with food, but they have to relate the recipe to the story in some way like the prompt is a man finds a newspaper on a train and it changes his life or whatever. They have to write that story, then include a recipe that relates to the story somehow.
