Regarding the a la carte pricing part of your suggestion:

Regarding your multi-piece "item" needs -- you've got a Premium, which allows you to limit posting in a Forum item to members of a Group above a set level -- which could be just yourself in a Group item you use as a bank. There isn't a limit on how many Forum items you can have out of your total item allotment.

There may also be other options that could work, depending on what you are trying to do.
