The door slams shut. Receding echoes bounce off the rafters. Window blinds lifted up, curtains pulled back, sunshine drifts in without a mote of dust (well, almost) hanging in the beams. The place positively sparkles, and bravely too. The happy cleaners have departed. A moment's respite.
And then.
The door swings back open, the sound of shuffling feet, as if some slight struggle accompanies the action, with satisfaction.
And then there it is. A new trophy placed upon the case.
A pause for the cause, and then a quick retreat to the beat of hasty feet.
Work to be done yet, I'll bet.
