Noticing Newbies

Hello,

My name is Val Gale I'm from Des Moines, Iowa and I have always wanted to become a writer. I served in the United States Army for five years traveling overseas and many bases in the United States. I graduated from college with a liberal Arts Degree in 1999. In 2016 a traumatic hand amputation allowed me to rethink what I really wanted to do with my life. So, I started writing again, in 2017 I self-published my first novel Different it deals with young adults and the many challenges they face suicide, bullying, incest, addiction, and transgender issues. My second Novel Hunter has a word count of 60,000 words and I just finished it recently I'm looking for a editor and mentor as we speak. Hunter tells the story of a trans man facing his incestuous pass and pursuing his abuser to find inner peace. Along the way he finally learns to love himself. I'm excited to interact with everyone and I hope you can give me feedback and I can as well.
