Noticing Newbies

Greetings!

I used Writing.com for a bit but I haven't exactly sought any kind of exposure or anything of the sort, but I thought I could give it a try and could definitely use some resources to get started here.

My name is David, you can call me by my name, but I also like to go by aliases like Shika-kun or Kaoruko (names inspired by best girl Rokuonji Kaoruko from Wagamama High Spec). I'm a guy who's a sucker for some sweet-as-sugar romance, and I personally like writing it too. I'm no master at writing obviously, but I do my best to make my stories fit into the "mostly realistic" category.

I especially like writing short stories but I want to write a novel/novella someday. One of my proudest short stories is called "Love, from San Marino" which I will post here. I wrote it at the start of 2020 so I would be interested in hearing your feedback on it too. I'm currently working on "God's blessing on this cursed prom vacation!", a novella based on my prom vacation to Italy in 2019 (back when covid didn't exist cough cough) which was really fun and I promised to everyone I knew I was gonna write the story and here I am, not having finished it yet. But I'm definitely working on it and once all chapters are in place I'll post everywhere I can think of.

Outside of writing, I draw, play the piano, play video games and take walks. Even though I'm 19 years old, I went to uni for like one year but I kind of dropped out because I wasn't interested in computer science, and I still have yet to think about what to actually study. But my private life aside, I really do enjoy exploring new places and travelling.

But that's all about it, really, don't wanna bore you with TMI... I hope to meet some writers here and give this site a chance again.
