here's my entry to your contest "dark and dangerous times "  dark and dangerous times

in these dark and dangerous dates
unrest fills the air
our cities are no longer silent

unheard voices are heard
their chants for justice
fill the air waves
as they march

writing black life matter
graffiti as they walk
pleading for justice
but their voices

and not heard
by our dear leader
who calls them terrorists
thugs and dangerous anarchists

vowing to dominate the streets
as the law and order
wanna be dictator
looks out at the chaos

he smiles
thinking of the violence
to come

and the hatred
and fear that he hopes
will propel him

to another surprising victory
in Trump’s American carnage
