Hey wizards! Suggestions/complaints/criticism? Groovy! Hop in! |
1. I'm not sure I consider the questions "fun" but I didn't consider them "unfun." I rarely see a prompt and think, "Oh! That looks like fun!" Usually it's more like, "Oh! I can write about that." I'm clearly not a true writer at heart. 2. I did like that you through in things like the newspaper article. That was a nice addition to the typical variety of a poem or short story. I wouldn't say more than 1 such item per week and maybe 1 isn't necessary. If I consider the whole thing, including welcoming newbies and reviewing and such, that's a good variety. 3. Do you mean "interactive tasks" like we have to create or write on someone's interactive? Or do you just mean we have to interact like welcoming newbies? I like the interacting with others, myself. I'm not a big poet, so I won't likely be asking for more poetry stuff, but I think my teammate Emily is, so that's good for her...and me if I don't want to be in last place. lol 4. Officially, since I can't remember the books, I prefer more general, but this IS a Harry Potter contest, so I suppose that's asking too much. But at least make sure the answers are in the movie so I can just spend a couple of hours researching by watching a movie instead of days reading a book (which won't happen ). 5. Because I can't remember the movies, I prefer more tasks in my voice. But I realize that A. It's good for me to have to write in another voice and B. Most folks can probably remember way better than I can. So, I think just mixing it up is a good option for this. Personally, I didn't feel like, "Oh no! Not you again!" Though this week was like, "Oh crap! I forgot I was doing this." Again, crappy memory. I think Xiea interacted a good amount. Honestly, I keep forgetting you are involved, DMT - THANK YOU WRITE.COM. Again--crappy memory. But this is just my experience. Maybe others think it's perfect (or too much). Thank you for working so hard to make this better! I think you're doing a great job, especially given how big it is and, to my knowledge, neither of you has experience with something like this before. Well done! And be sure to check out my challenge
