I believe that Masktrix has been writing it the way you have, with the paste and paint. To the best of my knowledge, we have not seen the 7th spell executed in Nostrum’s work, and imaj hasn’t written for BoM in years, excluding his excellent recent additions to The Wandering Stars, which hasn’t yet featured masks. I don’t recall Wordsmitty ever going into detail about how a masked golem is created, and well, the chapter you posted features work by Rugal, who is the only other person writing for BoM in the last year that I’m aware of. The vast majority of the time, the exact details aren’t mentioned when the shell is placed in the mask.
