So, this little section of the arc was something that I always had planned for this part of the story (unlike the Cabinda section, which occured to me as I was writing). Breeanna was always intended to be a bit of a Britney Spears type figure, it's just a bit of a coincidence that Breeanna's real life counterpart has been in the news again.

When faced with this kind of thing, I can't help but draw attention to it (what the good folks at TVTropes call 'Hanging a Lampshade'). It's a good way to stop people going "Hey, you just stole that from...". So Charlotte's dad get's to accidently misname Breeanna as her real life version.

Now for the warning: The next few chapters are a bit dark. Not just "The next few chapters are a bit dark", but "Imaj thinks the next few chapters are a bit dark". And I'm pretty sure I've written some of the most unplesantly nasty stuff in tBoMverse. I'll admit that I struggled to write some of this.
