I was pointing that as a possibility. By now, it's obvious that a massive retcon is coming; to have both possible methods exist, and one being an easy inference from the other (note that it'd follow the deliberate "learning" process of the Libra, where you learn the spells little by little, and each one builds on the other), would make things easier since it'd be less messy than forcing one way or the other in chapters that may be very old. Do note that you'd have to check which chapters have the "golem paste" and which ones have the old method. Far as I've seen, the "golem paste" appears out of nowhere, which is what led me to suggest the possibility of both methods existing, but one being inferred from the other (i.e., the old method is the one on the book, but you can infer the "golem paste" without the book showing it). Note that further spells of the Libra involve altering the components of the first few spells (the Chameleon spell components alter the masks, and so does the Remote Control Mask); thus, it wouldn't be too far-fetched to imagine that the Libra places this as a suggestion, as a clue to "think outside the box", which is the central problem of the Eighth spell. |
