Well, yes, I know that "Liber" and "Libris" are "book." But too many chapters in BoM refer to it as the "Libra," which isn't.

So it would be a bit like saying that "book" means book in English, when the problem is that the story calls the grimoire the "Boob of Masks."

EDIT: One reason I want to avoid any term connected to "book", like liber, is that if you give it a title with "liber" in it, you are likely to get "free persons" when you type it into an online translator. I am keen for the Latin to be such that a BoM character, if using a translator, is not going to get something weird back -- it breaks plausibility somewhat if Will's translations are not those that a BoM reader finds if he looks online. A title like "Summa Persona" works better because "summa" at least has a long history of being used in medieval and early-modern titles of scholarly tomes.

But the easiest way to handle it, of course, is to figure out why it would be called "Libra Persona," and to revise the early common chapters to lampshade the bizarre translation that it returns in a browser.
