I am now in the sub-trunk that begins with "The Domestic Life of the Durrases" .

I am amazed that I was able to get this deep into this branch without running into any serious problems. This was a branch written way back when anyone, not just Will could get the memories instantly upon putting on a mask. Luckily, most of the chapters in this branch, up to this point, have skipped over moments that would have caused other characters to remark upon the fact that they have to wait to get the memories. Either Caleb or Keith (or Will) have run off too fast for that conversation to be had, or (in the case of Patterson, Black, and Lynch) the conversations have been off-page. So I've been able to leave the chapters mostly unchanged with the assumption that it's a conversation that just hasn't been had yet.

But I've finally run out of luck.

There are three short branches, those beginning with "We're In the Money" , "Doubling Darcy" , and "Equations with Multiple Solutions"  where other characters immediately start acting with the memories upon putting on the masks. It would take a lot of work to fix those chapters, and the chapters that come afterward -- and it wouldn't really be worth it, because they are very short branches that don't go anywhere.

So I moved them to the NC-BoM and snipped them out of the original. I wound up having to move one of imaj's chapters ("Southern Comforts" ) when I did that.

That solution won't be open to me when I tackle "The Freshman Candidate."  and following. It's going to get messy.
