I want to eat aloo tikki today! The recipe varies. I'm gonna share the recipe the way I make it .. so it's here: ALOO TIKKI 4 Medium sized Potatoes Salt (according to taste or 1 tablespoon) 1/2tsp coriander powder A pinch of red chilli powder 1/2 tsp chaat masala LET'S GET STARTED!! 1. Wash the potatoes. Boil them. Open the cooker and peel them. 2. Mash the potatoes. 3. Add salt (according to taste or 1 tablespoon), 1/2tsp coriander powder, a pinch of red chilli powder, 1/2 tsp chaat masala. Mix well. DO NOT ADD WATER ANYWHERE! 4. Add 2 tablespoon of cornflour to it. This will give crispness. Again mix well. 5. Shape it into burger patties. Flatten them and make the corners round and smooth. 6. Fry on a medium heat in hot oil. It will turn golden. GARNISHING: Pour a little curd(sweet) on it with some finely chopped onions. You may add a little more chaat masala on top. You may also add a few seeds of pomegranate, blueberries or any other fruit (but I don't like it personally... but many do like it). ENJOY!! And now I'm gonna make it! |
