You're doing great, Sis. Even without distractions, the best I can seem to write in a sprint is a little over 500 words. I would love to think I could even type copy at nearly 1000 words in 30 minutes. It seems like all of my life so far typing tests have clocked me at approximately 32 wpm. Even my NaNoWriMo tools on their website have me typing about 7 or 8 wpm.
I could feel bad about all of this, but I think Focus will keep me going. I'm actually creating my text as I type it. So, I'm having to think through the intricacies of the plot, and the character interactions, not to mention the fact, that I still do a little light editing as I go. When the space bar doesn't leave a space, I have to go back and try it, again, hitting the space bar a little harder.
Bottom Line: It's a matter of perspective. You're doing great. I think I'm doing pretty good, too.
