Noticing Newbies

I saw info on this site on a face page site discussing editing and thought I'd give this a try. I'm 75 and slow to learn new technology. Hey, I'm trying to break the habit of double spacing after a period.

I'm a bit overwhelmed by all the instructions. I've filled out the portfolio and upgraded my membership for now. My work in progress is my memoir. I'm about 1/3 into it and wondering if I should continue or go back and rewrite it first. I'd like to get some feedback but can't afford to pay for an editor. I feel into poverty with my retirement. I'm planning to write a blog about how 50 plus years of working results in a retirement, a little about the official poverty line.

I want to improve my craft of writing. I can write a professional assessment, but producing a written project that captures interest and provokes thought is a unique skill.
