If I scroll back that far, whether comic shows as script or comic depends on how many times I've already viewed something with unclosed tags.

With a fresh clear of the browser cache and a browser restart, I see comic down to and including Jess's note 827378, and script after that in 827508 and 827486.

And where it is in script, it's a normal legible script, not the squished in the middle/stretched on the legs illegible script it used to show as.

What is happening?

People left tags open in their content.
You viewed their content.
Now your browser is doing weird things = it's corrupted.
Put another way -- it ate something that disagreed with it, and now it needs to barf.
Rx Clear your browser cache and restart your browser.

Then, since looking at script and having your browser be weird bothers you, decide whether you want to keep looking at the content of people who think it's fine to leave a mess for other people to deal with and clean up. Is it realistic to expect yourself to be able to remember to clear cache and restart your browser every time you scroll the newsfeed on your phone? If you do choose to keep looking, then you're choosing to accept the mess and bother. While you could try doing a PSA on it to see if they'll mend their ways, there are no guarantees on that, and it's not likely that anyone would be going back and fixing content previously posted.
