Thanks, NW. This addresses my concern, but not really that of jondakota whose concern is for newbies who don't know how to maneuver around the site when they first join.

I kind of prefer WdC opening up to 'The Hub', as I have it set. I'm aware I can change that to Community Newsfeed, but I guess I'll have to rely on my memory to periodically check the CN.
