Re: September Entries
Wow! That's a LOT! And now I feel terrible because you did SO MUCH WORK, but most if this isn't going to count. *Think* *Sob* For one thing, you can't submit items from a contest I haven't highlighted (ex. Red Wheelbarrow Poetry Contest). *Laugh* Also, some of these aren't even a writing contest (ex. Guess How Many Are in the Jar). *Laugh*

Okay, so if you want to catch up, I recommend staring with a year--any 12 consecutive months. You've already done July and August 2018, so you might want to start with that year. Or, you might want to start fresh with 2022. It's up to you. *Smile* You've done August 2022, so you'd only have to do an extra month if you opted for this year instead of last. And technically, you can cross over December/January, so you can post some later 2021 contest entries as well. And if you are hoping to do the entire catchup from the very beginning, you'll need to do them all at some point, so it won't matter anyway. *Laugh* (Prizes every January for those who have done the ENTIRE challenge since February 2017 are pretty fantastic! 500k GPs per person, ~100 MBs per person, and this year you can create your very own MB to have forever and to do with whatever you want...though I do hope you give me one. *Bigsmile*) If you don't make it for this January, don't sweat it. I do big things EVERY January for those who have done the ENTIRE challenge. *Wink* And am pretty sure I'll be giving everyone 500k and ~100 MBs for the next couple of years. *Wink*

Since you did post an entry for last month, I'll let you count anything you entered in August as well as September so you might not have to start completely from scratch. *Wink* And it looks like you entered "The Whatever Contest -- Closed for NowOpen in new Window., but I'm allowing up to 3 different entries this month, so if you want to count my contest for up to 3 months (in which I did highlight it), you can. *Smile* So, for the current entry you already have, you would look through the "Previously Highlighted Contests 2021" and see I highlighted this contest November 2021. (You can't count it for October or December because I didn't highlight it then.) You would then post your entry as such...

Post Title Here: The Whatever Contest--November 2021

Post Body: "Poetry Entry September"  Open in new Window.         (linked using {post:3518059})

So, check the dropnotes for late 2021 and all of 2022 (except August) and see what contests you have entered in September and August. I highlighted "Poetry Contest and Inspiration" in January 2022. If you entered it last week (or even last month), I'll count that. *Smile* However, if you entered that contest back in July, it doesn't count. *Frown* But let's say it counts. You'll post a link to the contest, proving you entered it. You do that with {post:XXXXXXX}. You might have to look through a page or two of forum posts, but since I'm not letting you count anything you entered before August, you shouldn't have to dig too far back. *Wink*

Okay, so you found your post, copied the post number from the upper right corner of your post in the contest forum, and are back on this challenge forum. You would title your post here with "Poetry Contest and Inspiration--January 2022" or something like that. Then you would post proof that you entered with {post:XXXXXXXX} so I can easily click the link to see you entered and even click to read your item, if I'm interested. *Smile* I need to contest name because I like to keep track of approximately how much each contest is being entered. I need the month and year the contest was highlighted here so you get credit for the right month. *Smile*

If you haven't entered any of the contests I highlighted for January 2022, you can choose one of those contests that's open, enter using the CURRENT prompt, then post proof with {post:XXXXXXX} and title your post here with the contest name and the month and year you need credit for. *Smile* Here's an example of a perfect post from Blueyez. "The Writer's Cramp — January 2017"  Open in new Window.

If you run into a month where nothing is open, you can reach out to see if any of the contest owners are going to be opening soon. Sometimes they've been pondering it and just needed to know there was some interest. *Bigsmile* If nothing is open and nothing is going to be open in a timely manner, I can give you a substitute contest. But if you need a substitute for October because all the October contests won't be open until next month, I'll probably just tell you to work on other months since you can work in any order. *Wink*

Okay, so while I'm excited to see you participating in so many activities, this is a CONTEST challenge, so they need to be contests. *Laugh* I do look forward to seeing a plethora of entries from you and perhaps even celebrating you in January of this year! *Delight* Either way, good luck with all your activities and with your contest entries! You got this! I believe in you! *Hug1**Smile**Hug2*

This irregular contest will change each round. Nature poem? Horror story? Whatever.
