A few ideas:

Wilted Roses - Oscar bait starring two-time winner Jessica Witt and five-time nominee Tess Chapman as estranged mother and daughter Bea and Frankie Embry, who both find romance (and each other) when they return home for the funeral of the aunt who raised Frankie when her mother left town.

The Groody Movie - You remember Groody, right? Well, this is a post-modern take on the loveable kids character, with comedy aiming to appeal to both adults and kids alike. With the voices of Darrell Jinks, Rush Ostmeier and Katy Morse.

Katana Of The Shogun - its 50-year re-release, Katana of the Shogun is considered the pinnacle of the brief ninja craze which saw kendo sticks being banned nationwide and Japanaese dojos springing up in every stripmall in the country. It made a star of Tony Fujiyama before his untimely death aged 34.

It Only Rains Once - French sapphic arthouse film starring Emmanuelle Deschamps and Aurora Maldini as two lovers from the opposite end of the rich-poor spectrum who find that, every time they have intercourse, they slowly morph into each other. There is a lot of very, very steamy, very gratuitous boobage.

TV shows:

The Corner - tough crime drama focusing on a street gang in Philadelphia. Stars include Lemar Peters, Rick White Jr., and Raphael Cruz as some of the hustlers vieing to take over the empire.

The Whittaker Legacy - stodgy British period drama based on the Whittaker family, and the attempts of Lord Whittaker to find matches for his daughters Elizabeth, Genovieve and Miriam.

Cry Havoc - high fantasy sword-and-sorcery nonsense about a medieval kingdom and its internal power struggles, with the families of all scheming with and against each other to take the Crystal Crown for themselves, all while magic gradually begins to return to the world thanks to the alignment of the third moon.
