Don't worry about person when writing the story. Some say only use 3rd, and, well... I've sold 5 books and 2 were in first person.

Write what is comfortable for you. Remember, the first reader of your book needs to like it, and the first reader is YOU.

Relaxc, go to what works, and first person all the way!
