Have you ever tried writing a list story. What makes it different than an ordinary story is the element of emotion these lists instill. Here's an example I remember a photo of Bill on a mahogany table. The table was used for several generations in our family. A family that enjoyed good conversation about numerous subjects. But the subject of ashes never came up until Bill's photo and his ashes were sitting on the table and silence echoed.
My list is : a photo of Bill, mahogany table, family, conversation, subjects, ashes and silence.
