(Keep in mind I've only done DnD related stuff once or twice)

So a lot of the DnD I played had a regular story, just like any other game. We had a beginning, we had a middle, and we had an end.

Now, I feel like your players might be different characters, especially if they choose the typical dnd things.

But say you were the protagonist of the story, if you were the dungeon master. Now, whatever their big villain is? What if that's your antagonist.

And then plot your game moves as you would a story, if you'd like.

Also, if you're looking at inspiration, maybe you can look at certain computer games with a strong story to see what they do.
