There is a free software called Bibisco. I kinda like it. Well, they have the free trial version and the paid version, but even the free trial version packs a punch.  I actually like ywriter5 a lot although it has a very simple layout (also free), but the problem is, they don't have a Mac version and I'm currently using my hubby's MacBook Air. But one thing I learn about novel-writing is that I can search for as many softwares as I want, but at the end of the day, it is the writing that counts. Personally to me only (so you can take it with a pinch of salt), I found that software searching for one that can help me write my novel actually distracted me from writing one. Ironic, no? But take note, this was my personal experience and some software probably helped others write their novels. I have spent a long time before during my younger novelling days searching for the best software out there, I can tell you what's in the market. Seriously.  I was obsessed. For this, I'm happy to settle on Notion, especially with the black background option and how we are able to customise it in a million ways. That reminds me that I should create a template there on top of my WDC books just as a backup... |
