Don't get me wrong, Ma'am, I was affected by a hurricane but not Milton.
There have been quite some former hurricanes hitting Europe through the last decades, but they were weaker because the water in the North Atlantic is colder, and so sucking the energy out of the hurricane.
Kirk was stronger than them because this year the Northern Atlantic was exceptionally warm and the storm didn't weaken like "usual".
It was pissing cats and dogs, there were gale-force winds which made it hard to keep my car on lane, and at my friends' place which I driving home from, even several trees were knocked over by the gales.
