You know, I got to thinking about your last line. Since when did annoying kids perceive to be 'on the spectrum'? And what in the devil, no pun intended, is that encompassing? Autism I assume.
The prevalence of all this ADHD, autism, and other behavioral disorder stuff is recent, to my mind. I don't remember anyone being like that when I was younger, or even when my children were younger. Seems a pretty recent development. Now there were always people a little off, a little strange that you just learned to deal with.
So, is our tech society creating the problem? Is it our diet? Is it our culture?
Think on this, what if Mozart had ADHD. Or Shakespeare, or Da Vinci or Tchaikovsky or Mark Twain {insert name of another artist or genius} and the medical field or parents or school intercepted that person and damped down the spark...
Okay - discuss among yourselves. Let's see where this goes. I know I show tendencies to be a little ADHD at times.
