Motivate yourself to conquer your goals this week! Post on Monday; update us on Friday! |
Well, it's been quite a while since I've dropped be here. I've been a work-induced writing slump for more than a month now, but work has finally let up a bit, and I seem to have at least found the time and energy to a) remove some distractions and b) drop by here. I hope that means I also have the energy to get back into my regular writing and reading habits again. At the very least, I will try to give myself a mental kick in the butt and set up some goals for the week to come. Write every day: Honestly, if I can just achieve this goal, I will be happy. This is always my first priority, and it's normally an issue to get a little outlining, writing, or editing done every weekday. But the last couple of weeks have been... well, yeah. But if I can get back into my regular writing habit, I think that is a very good sign that things are nomalizing. Start the fantasy story I have been outlining: Most of the writing related work I have been doing during my slump has been focusing on outlining my next novelette/short story. I can no longer use that as an excuse, so now it's time to start writing. Do a review: I haven't been great at reviewing lately, so I want to turn in at least one review for WYRM. Do vocal exercises: I have kept up with these for a long time now, but then came the season of colds and flues and other throat scratching vira, so, I have a habit I need to get started back up on here as well. Finish tasks for our local SF&F con: I'm volunteering at our local SF&F con, which is still more than half a year away. Though, there's plenty of work to get done before that, and have some minor tasks I need to follow up on. |
