I think Hannah’s reaction to the masks makes for an interesting contrast to Stephanie’s reaction to the masks given how Stephanie is one of the few characters to react with discomfort and even hostility to the masks. If I recall correctly, that hostility towards them was at least part of the reason Seuzz excised the line where Will showed them to her, though I could be misremembering.

I will say that this arc definitely worsened my opinion of Marc as a person, given how willing he was to mug somebody he’s been friends with for so long. I honestly had the impression he was a better dude than that.
