Motivate yourself to conquer your goals this week! Post on Monday; update us on Friday! |
First update of the year, and I'm, unsurprisingly, late. As always, it's because I tried including the weekend to reach one of my goals, only then did I realize that my weekend was fully booked already. So... yeah. Overall, though, I think I did all right, even if it wasn't exactly my best week writing-wise. Write every day:: Check. Well, it was outlining or editing every day, not a single new word produced, but it still counts. Do vocal exercises: I just scraped by and reached my goal of doing the exercises once a day on average. Continue edits from before the holiday: Did this as well. Actually, I got quite a lot of editing done on the novelette I needed to work on, so I'm very happy with this one. Start outlining story for Danish SF anthology: Reached this goal as well. I started and finished the rough scene-by-scene outline. Probably need to work more on characters and conflict and story cohesion. Still, not a bad result for one-two days of work. Do a review: Sigh... As always, my reading goals seems to be the most difficult ones to reach. Hopefully, I'll catch up today and get the review completed. Get exercise and eat healthy: Almost wants to do a double check for this one. Two training sessions and 5K run. That's definitely one of my better weeks in that regard. Also, aside from the weekend, I manage to cut back on snacking quite a lot. The extra stuff. Things that I hadn't listed as goal but only because I didn't think I'd ever get around to it. Send stories out for submission: Got two stories send out, and checked my submission sheet, realizing there a probably a couple of other stories which I should consider dead and send out to new markets. Finish reading a novel: Though I didn't get to complete a WdC review, I seems I've read a lot outside of WdC. I poured through Richard Osoman's The Thursday Murder Club, and already more than halfway through This Is How You Lose The Time War as well. |
